Amanda Lilholt has made a collection of acoustic art pieces for AKUART which are from her original paintings. The collaboration shows that art and function combined work great. An artistic way to solve an acoustic problem.

Applicata

Amanda Lilholt has designed the Circle Collection for applicata.

“It was important to me that the Circle Collection was created in collaboration with a brand that takes local production, attention to detail and sheer materiality seriously."

The Circle collection is inspired by the sun and its geometrical shape, but has very different looks, designs and functions that complement each other. The material - brass with the shiny surface, refers to the sun and its warm silhouette.

Bedre Nætter

In 2022 Amanda and Bedre Nætter started their collaboration with a desire to make a collection of sleeping couches which was both extremely comfortable, beautiful and with that in mind that the couches could work as your daily sofa with that extra feature that you can transform it into a bed with the same comfort as a real bed. Amanda designed MOMA, DECO, CLASSI and MOME. Every sleeping sofa has its own characteristics and is Amanda´s approach to how we can live with fewer but better things in our life.

Later on she designed the CLASSI children bed and the CLASSI lounge chair which can be transformed into a children bed.

Formel A

In 2019 Amanda designed the TWIN sofa for Formela. This was her first sofa design and her first design as a royalty designer and marked a very important shift for her in her career. The TWIN sofa is well known and is still one of peoples favorite sofa. With the TWIN sofa Amanda became a well known sofa designer and proved that she could make a modern classic. Since that Amanda has also designed the Mellizo sofa and lounge chair and the Magma sofa.

It's pretty vulnerable for me to share, not only does it spring from emotions inside me, but also because the subject is complex, full of grief, frustration and at the same time also a sense of redemption. It's about the relationship with my mother, which for the last couple of years has been quite intense and hard. I have not seen my mother for three and a half years now because the way we are in each other's lives right now is causing me more pain than joy. With these works; I have a desire to get people to talk about what is difficult, maybe some can relate, maybe someone knows someone who can relate and I hope that it is something that you can talk more openly and vulnerable about. I have tried to express the emotions that have filled me with a lot of grief, frustration, transgressed boundaries, longing but also a kind of hope that one day things will be different.
